StrålevernRapport 12:2007 Radiological regulatory improvements related to the remediation of the nuclear legacy sites in NW Russia
This report describes work carried in 2006 under the NRPA – Federal Medical-Biological Agency regulatory support program. It focuses on development of improved regulatory documents and supervision of remediation activities due to be carried out at Andreeva Bay and Gremikha in Northwest Russia. The work program for 2007 is also introduced. The report is in Russian.

Formålet med dette samarbeidsprosjektet var å oppgradere eksisterende regelverk i Russland for sikker dekommisjonering og lagring av Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators( RTG), med fokus på myndighetskrav og regelverk; trusselvurdering for lisensiering; overvåking og kontroll av strålevern og sikkerhet;beredskap og fysisk sikring og EIA for transport og lagring av RTG.

Formålet med denne trusselvurderingsrapporten er å gi regulerende myndigheters syn på de viktigste områder som krever overvåking og regulativ utvikling når det gjelder aktiviteter koblet til RTG-dekommisjonering og sluttdeponering. De største radiologiske truslene har blitt identifisert og tiltak for å redusere dem har blitt foreslått.

This exercise was part of one of the three Norwegian Regulatory Support Projects aimed at supporting the improvement of radiation protection in Andreyev Bay. The exercise was the first of its kind ever to take place at such a facility, with international observers, on Russian soil.
