The conference is organized by the DSA in cooperation with the French Institute for Radiation and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) and the International Union of Radioecology (IUR). In addition, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) are co-operating institutes.

The conference addresses several important topics, including radioactive waste management and the long-term consequences of nuclear accidents. We will also look at how we can strengthen emergency preparedness in the event of major nuclear accidents. “The war in Ukraine has shown how important it is to have good preparedness, extensive knowledge and close international cooperation” says Director General of DSA, Per Strand.
